Wireless transfer: move RAW takes over local Wi-Fi
RAW takes are large, and getting them off a phone is often the slowest part of a shoot. CinemaKit includes a file server that runs on your local network, so a browser on your computer can download recordings directly from the phone.

- Turn on Start Server in CinemaKit's settings.
- On a computer connected to the same Wi-Fi network, open the address shown in the app in a browser. On iPhone this is cinemakit.local:8080.
- Browse, filter and download takes. CinemaDNG sequences are zipped into a single download.
- Keep CinemaKit open in the foreground until the transfer finishes. The server stops when the app goes to the background.
Private by design
The server only works on your local network. Files go directly from the phone to the computer you connect from. They are never uploaded to the internet or to CinemaKit.
Other ways to transfer
On iPhone, recordings also appear over a cable in the CinemaKit folder under Files, in Finder on Mac or the Apple Devices app on Windows. On Android, recording straight to a USB-C drive or an SD card skips the transfer entirely.
