Look, LUTs and Log: control what you see and what you record
What you see on screen and what ends up in the file are two separate decisions in CinemaKit. Look, the LUT modes and Log profiles let you control both.

In the fileLook: see what is being recorded
With Look turned on, the screen shows the image as it is being recorded, without the phone's usual processing. With Look off, you see the camera's normal processed feed.
LUTs in Preview or Record mode
- Preview applies the LUT to the screen only. The file is recorded without it, so the grade stays open.
- Record writes the LUT into the file, for footage that has to be ready without grading.
- RAW recordings support Preview only: RAW is always stored as unprocessed sensor data.
Log for video codecs
When recording HEVC, ProRes (iPhone) or H.264, you can choose a Log profile such as S-Log. Log keeps more highlight and shadow information for grading than a standard video profile. RAW doesn't need Log: the sensor data itself is the starting point.
Bitrate presets
HEVC and H.264 offer Low, Medium and High quality presets, both when recording and when exporting a grade. Each preset sets how many bits are spent per pixel, so the bitrate follows resolution and frame rate. With 10-bit selected the bitrate is capped at 100 Mbps. The full table is on the specifications page.
